New job!

Derek just called me and he got the job he interviewed for today! They called just 2 and a half hours after the interview to offer him the job. I'm so happy for him and so proud of him! He starts June 2nd... Gosh this is an awesome day! I am going to be watching my friends son starting that week also, hopefully things will be back to normal!

2 pounds!

I lost 2 pounds today at Weight Watchers! I can't believe that I lost that much... I was hoping for at least .4 and when I stepped on and pulled a whole 2 pounds I was shocked! Delighted though, because that put me over my 25 pound mark. I have lost now 26.6 pounds. It has taken me 26 weeks to do that... gosh that sounds like a long time! But, hopefully because I've taken it off slowly it'll stay off. The gal taking my weight started asking me where my goal weight was... I was kinda taken aback because I hadn't realized I was getting close to my goal weight. 160 pounds is the top of the range for my height and I'm 161.2 now. I want to lose another 10 pounds or so and hopefully become a lifetime member! Gosh that'd be nice to not have to pay for Weight Watchers anymore lol!

Westport... a long one!

Yesterday morning we packed up the car and headed to good old Westport! My sister Danielle, her boyfriend Josh, Derek, me and Owen all crammed in my car... it was a tight ride, but we made it work. We checked out the campsite out were we'll be camping next weekend... it looked promising lol! Small, but it's close to the bathrooms, the garbage and Westport. From there we decided to take Josh and Derek to see our family's cabin... Boy has it gone down hill! The roof and floor are all caved in, the lot is overgrown and there is a bunch of garbage in a pile. Derek is all excited about it though and wants to clean it up so we can camp there. I'm all about it, so we'll see if he's able to do it. Owen fell asleep right before we got to the cabin (go figure at the end of the ride!) so we left him in the car while we did the venturing. We went down the road to the beach and woke Owen up so he could experience it all! He loved it! Wasn't too sure at first, but enjoyed himself.








We also hit up Westport which was our reason behind this whole trip and got to enjoy the little town. We hit up a few shops and got to see a 31 pound Halibut that was just caugh! That sucker was huge!!! We always have to go to the Whalers Mall and grab a Whale of a Cone while we're in Westport and Owen got to have his first ice cream cone! haha! It was cute!



There is also a store that has been around forever and has been owned by so many different people, but has always had the same bear outside. When Danielle was about Owen's age my mom wanted her to take a picture with it and she was SO scared of it and kept saying "bear awake!", but mom took the picture. It has become a cheesy tradition of ours to get our picture taken at "bear awake" every time we go to Westport... so Owen got his picture taken! I wanted him to stand up under him and Owen refused... so I'm in the picture too...

24.6 and counting!

This week at Weight Watchers I lost 1.8 pounds! I was so happy cause for such a long time I had lost like .5 and then would gain a little, lose a little, gain a little... it got frustrating! I am trying my hardest and working out 5 times a week at least and watching what I'm eating. It's amazing to see how much I've changed in the last 6 months. I looked at pictures from my friend Christy's birthday party in October before I started Weight Watchers and I remember thinking I looked good that night... And then I looked at my birthday pictures again and thought "Dang I look good here... not there!" It's a good feeling!

What all of us crazies have been waiting for!

I can't tell you how flippin' excited I am for this movie!!!! It's my main obsession and a show I can always watch and never get sick of. I'm going to see it with my sister Danielle, her co-worker Heidi and our friend Angie. We are making shirts with I heart Sex and the City on the front and our favorite quote on the back... it's gonna be awesome!

Crazy kid!

This afternoon I was enjoying my bagel with cream cheese and a Sugar Free Rockstar, when I heard Owen in his room crying. I ran into his room cause it didn't sound good. I couldn't find him anywhere! I finally looked at his changing table which is under his window and law his leg... He had climbed up his changing table and shimmied under his blinds and was hidden by his curtains. I am still not sure why he was crying, but I think the bulk of the crying after I found him came from my loud "no"'s haha! I decided it was time to get rid of the changing table. I rearranged his room and he's got a ton more space for all of his many many toys! I posted the table on craigslist and already have a buyer! I can't believe he figured out how to climb up to the top of the table... next is climbing out of the crib... as soon as that happens I'm putting him in a big boy bed. Crazy kid!!!!!

A Happy Mothers Day::

Today was my 2nd Mothers Day... should've been lots of fun, right!? WRONG! I was hosting a baby shower for my best friend Amy on Saturday, when my mom called to tell me that Owen had thrown up all over himself on the way home from a birthday party... she told me that he was ok and to not worry. After the shower she called again... this time Owen had a bad diaper and was doing worse. So I headed out without helping Amy put the house back, boy did I feel bad that I didn't help out! Thank God she understood! Anyways, I got to my moms to find Owen just miserable in a diaper shivering... I felt horrid for him! I was trying to find some jammies to put him in when he threw up again! So, I wiped him down and packed him in the car to go home... the kid threw up in the car too! He proceeded to upchuck a couple more times during the evening. He woke up a few times during the night too and was pretty fussy all night long. And this morning he woke up and was really clingy and whiny... so all day today I got to take care of him. Which isn't bad, but I was looking forward to a great day with family and friends. My mom did come over to keep me company on Mothers Day. Also, my sister Danielle came home from Vegas today and her and her boyfriend Josh came over on their way home from the airport. That made the evening not so bad.

Anyways, Owen's feeling better. He went outside and did a little adventuring around the yard before he went to bed. Hopefully he'll sleep great tonight and wake up rested and in a great mood tomorrow!
